Don’t Expect Browns To Fill Coordinator Job Quickly

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – It’s been a week since Kyle Shanahan and the Browns decided it’d be best if he took his talents elsewhere but the search for his replacement doesn’t appear to be nearing a conclusion any time soon.

At least 9 names have been linked to the Browns since Shanahan’s departure but head coach Mike Pettine is in no rush to make a decision so quickly without turning over every stone imaginable.

While it would be easy to say that the Browns constant turnover is the reason for the amount of time the search may or may not take, it is not reality. With his first coordinator lasting less than a full calendar year, Pettine wants to make sure he gets this hire right. That is why interviews are expected to continue with candidates next week at the Senior Bowl.
