Donte Whitner Wakes Up Browns With Big Hit

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – One hit can change a game.

Donte Whitner delivered one of his patented big hits Sunday late in the third quarter which woke the Browns from their slumber as they moved to 4-3 on the season with a 23-13 win over the hapless Oakland Raiders.

“If you had to hit the turning point, I think that one is pretty obvious,” head coach Mike Pettine said.

With the Browns clinging to a 9-6 lead in a game highlighted by 5 field goals and 10 punts between the 2 teams, Oakland drove 11 plays and 62 yards after starting from their own 9 to the Cleveland 29.
