CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – For the first time in his Major League career, Michael Brantley has been selected as an All-Star.
However, for him to have some added friendly company, it will take some additional work by Tribe fans.
On Sunday, Brantley was named as an American League reserve for the 2014 All-Star Game, which will take place July 15 in Minnesota. The Indians outfielder was selected as Cleveland’s representative by his peers, the players.
“It means a lot to me,” Brantley said of being nominated by fellow players. “Just how I play the game, I respect the game, just playing hard each and every day. They voted for me to make this appearance and my hat’s off to them. I thank them.
