New Belgium Ranger IPA

New Belgium Brewing Company has finally made its way to the Buckeye State. The company is based in Fort Collins, Colorado and has been considered one of the breweries who led the craft beer movement.  They opened in 1991 and have recently begun an East Coast Brewery in Asheville, NC that should be up and running by 2015.

The Ranger IPA is a beer for hop lovers. It sits at 70 IBUs and 6.5% ABV. It’s not a cloudy beer at all – very clear. There’s a strong hop presence on the nose. Simcoe, cascade, and chinook hops were all used in this brew. Lots of citrus & pine. IPA lovers will like this brew.  The taste has a very hoppy bite to it, but not much coming through from the malt.

As you can tell by the reviews we’ve done, I like IPAs. This one does not disappoint.
